Michael J. Chieco, Esq. and Charles R. Casartello, Jr., Esq., have been made shareholders in the law firm Pellegrini, Seeley, Ryan & Blakesley, P.C.
Attorney Charles Casartello, Jr., has been with the firm since 1990 and has concentrated his practice in personal injury litigation, employment and labor law and workers' compensation.
Attorney Casartello, Jr. is active in many Springfield charities as well as being on the board of the Spirit of Springfield. He was recognized for his pro-bono work representing victims of the World Trade Center.
Since joining the firm in 1989, Michael J. Chieco has continued to pursue litigation on behalf of individuals seriously injured by defective products, as the result of medical malpractice, at construction sites, and in motor vehicle accidents. In addition, his extensive experience in personal injury litigation, Attorney Chieco provides representation to individuals who have been charged with criminal offenses.
Attorney Chieco’s trial experience began as an assistant district attorney in Springfield, Massachusetts. During the eight years he held that position, he managed and tried numerous criminal cases at the trial and appellate level. Attorney Chieco is proud to have won an award of more than $3 million for the surviving family members of a victim of the September 11th World Trade Center attacks.
Attorney Chieco attended the college of the Holy Cross and Western New England College School of Law. He co-authored a treatise entitled "Establishing Liability in Vehicular Accidents" and has been a presenter at numerous legal seminars.
Admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of the commonwealth of massachusetts, Attorney Chieco is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Hampden County Bar Association and Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers.
